Is The World A Better Place Because You Are Here?

Hmm…interesting thought, isn’t it? If you are anything like the majority of people, chances are you haven’t really thought about it or perhaps just don’t care. Asking this question early in life however, forces you take the bigger view of yourself and your existence. Being successful in your own terms doesn’t necessarily mean you’re making the world a better place.

Perhaps you are of the opinion that it isn’t your responsibility to make the world a better place but others – myself included – would disagree. I’m a firm believer that each one of us that came into this world, did so for a good reason – what that reason is, needs to be detected by each individual respectively.

Life in and of itself is truly magnificent and a true gift from God. To live a meaningful and fulfilling life, you must have a purpose, be selfless and willing to grow spiritually, professionally, personally and otherwise. Likewise, to live an eternal life, you can only do so through the hearts and minds of others, which is what all great men and women including Leonardo Da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Mother Theresa, Nikola Tesla and scores of others have done throughout their lives. They have left a dent in the universe and forever changed it for the better. The good news is that none of them – no matter what anyone made you believe – are any more capable or better than you and I but were simply aware of their life’s purpose and resolved to detect and subsequently pursue and fulfil it.

No matter what your current age or a state in life may be, you can resolve today to detect your life’s purpose and start to pursue it with every fiber of your being. To help you get on the right path to detecting your purpose you’ll need to conduct a self-inventory exercise and get to know yourself first. Remember the wise words ‘know thyself’ above all else. Here’s a hint – your life’s purpose is closely related to your innate talents and abilities which you’ll detect though a self-inventory exercise. Once you do that, commit from that point on that whatever you do for the rest of your life has a true and bigger meaning, for you are bigger, greater and much more capable than you may think.
